1001 moves unites Persian dance and world dance in the third installment of 1001 moves, a Helia Dance Productions production. World-renowned Persian Dancer Helia Bandeh is accompanied by the highly talented Maria Granström from Stockholm, Sweden and Anaïs Muñoz de Casacuberta from Barcelona. This amazing line-up brings you Persian Dance on the highest level, combined with beautiful Oriental dance and Katak dance. This is a world dance show you absolutely cannot miss!

Helia Bandeh

Helia Bandeh is known for being unique in having mastered traditional Persian Dance. Helia Bandeh has performed with world class artists and dedicated her life to share this art with audiences all over the world.

Helia Bandeh was born in Shiraz, Iran and decided to dedicate her life to Persian dance. Helia Bandeh has travelled from Europe to the United States, to Iran and beyond to continue to enrich her capacities and share the art with her audiences in her performances and in tutoring through her Helia Dance Academy.

Maria Granström

Maria is a professional belly dancer with more than ten years' experiance in Oriental dances. She is certified in the Suhaila Salimpour Belly Dance Format Level 2 and Jamila Salimpour Belly Dance Format Level 1 and has further education in Creative Dance and Eurhythmics for Dancers at the University College of Music Education in Stockholm. Maria is a member of the Helia Dance Company.

Anaïs Muñoz de Casacuberta

Degree in Fine Arts and trained in Gestalt therapy, Anaïs is dedicated to the study of oriental dances since the end of the year '99 she started with belly dance, and then she knows Kathak for first time when she traveled to India in 2002. She is practising regularly this classical dance for last four years, thanks to the knowledge of the kathak dancer Fasih Ur Rehman. Anaïs is now being interested in persian dance. Her approach to dance, always have a therapeutic sense. She is working as a teacher and performer artist in Barcelona.

Helia Dance Company

Helia Dance Company features a group of talented Persian Dance professionals, all personally selected and educated by Helia herself. All members of the dance company have passed an intensive course and exam to be able to provide the best and most enchanting Persian Dance performances available.
